Position Title: Civil EngineerLocation: Primarily on-site at Project Location Coney Island, Brooklyn, NYJob Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: 55.00-$60.00/ hourReports To:This position reports functionally Client Representative for functional/project oversight and CES Company Representative employment, performance management, and contractual administration.Position OverviewThe Civil Engineer is responsible for providing inspection services for the MTA Roof Repair Project at the Coney Island Overhaul Shop. The scope of work includes restoring the facility’s roofs to a State of Good Repair through repair, replacement, and rebuilding as needed. Additionally, the project involves upgrading the Shop’s aging heating units to enhance structural integrity and extend the longevity of the building’s exterior systems.Responsibilities:Inspection services for roof repairsEnsure full-time monitoring of all construction activities to guarantee compliance with project specificationsConduct continuous technical inspections to confirm that quality measures are implemented dailyPrepare daily field technical reports and computations; collect and document initial, progress,and final photographsConduct substantial and final inspections alongside the supervisor and designated personnelVerify contractor adherence to contract requirements, quality control standards, and safety protocolsPerform additional related duties as needed.Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical)MTA NYCT project experienceOSHA 30-hourPreferred Certifications4-hour scaffolding userNYCT track safety trainingNYCT PMG 123SST 62 hours is preferredTechnical Skills:Microsoft OfficeSoft Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.Perform additional project control related duties as required.Company OverviewCES Consultants, Inc. is a fast-growing, civil infrastructure engineering, program management, construction management, and program analytics and technology firm with offices in Miami, Broward, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville, Florida, the DC Metro area, New York City, and New Jersey.At CES, we work as a team to deliver exceptional service and build lasting relationships with our employees and clients.
