Insurance Account Specialist

Job Summary

A stable organization in Oxnard, CA is seeking an experienced Insurance Account Specialist to support commercial, health, and personal lines insurance operations. Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying insurance needs and coverage opportunities.
- Prepare insurance quotes, recommend appropriate products, and support sales and service goals.
- Manage policy renewals, reinstatements, cancellations, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Work with carriers and underwriters to secure coverage options and resolve client service needs.
- Monitor premium payments, follow up on outstanding balances, and ensure accurate account activity.
- Review insurance policies, contractual documents, and compliance requirements to support quality service.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $27 to $33 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support insurance operations across commercial, health, and personal lines products.
- Manage client accounts, policy changes, renewals, reinstatements, and cancellations.
- Prepare quotes, provide coverage recommendations, and coordinate with carriers and underwriters.
- Maintain accurate insurance documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Active California Life and Health License required.
- Minimum 2 years of insurance sales and service experience required .
- Experience with personal lines and commercial insurance preferred.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, coverages, risk management, and client service best practices.
- Experience using insurance software and agency management systems.
- Credit union, banking, or financial services experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with commercial, health, and personal lines insurance.
- Knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance requirements.
