Patient Dining Associate

Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services. The Food and Nutrition Services department provides nutritionally balanced meals and medical nutrition therapy for patients, staff and visitors, working with nursing and medical staff. We are seeking a Patient Dining Associate to provide patient meal service, take orders, prepare trays and deliver patient meals. This is a full-time role — 36 hours per week, with a 6:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. shift pattern, 3/12 shifts per week, rotating holidays and every-other-weekend work. Role purpose and responsibilities focus on direct patient interaction and meal service to assigned units. Responsibilities Deliver patient meals to assigned areas, document meals and calorie intake, and perform rounds on patients in accordance with department expectations. Assemble meal trays and menus according to guidelines. Communicate patient diets, meal delivery times, and special requests with the patient care team. Maintain an organized and stocked galley and assist with nourishment delivery as needed. Record intake/calorie counts and respond to patient, family, and nursing needs; communicate updated diet orders with nursing.
