Quality Assurance Analyst

Optomi, in partnership with a leading electric power and natural gas distribution client, is seeking a Workflow Configuration & Test Analyst to support the iGrid program. This analyst will play a key role in validating workflow-driven systems, testing business process automation, and ensuring workflow configurations align with business requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with PowerClerk or a similar workflow-based platform, strong manual testing and root cause analysis skills, and the ability to identify whether issues stem from configuration, data, business processes, or system defects. This opportunity is a hybrid role requiring three days onsite in Charlotte, NC, and is offered on a W-2 basis. Responsibilities of the right candidate: Configure, validate, and test workflow-driven applications to ensure business processes and system functionality align with documented requirements. Design and execute manual test scenarios, document results, and identify defects throughout the testing lifecycle. Investigate application issues by performing root cause analysis to determine whether problems are related to configuration, data, business processes, or system defects. Analyze workflow behavior, system logs, and available data to provide evidence-based findings and recommend appropriate resolutions. Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support workflow enhancements. Document testing outcomes, communicate findings clearly, and contribute to continuous process improvements across the iGrid program. Experience of the right candidate: Direct configuration experience with PowerClerk or a similar workflow-based platform, including workflow configuration, automation, and rule-based logic Ability to understand, interpret, and assess workflows against written business requirements Experience creating and executing test scenarios aligned to business processes and requirements Manual testing experience within workflow-based systems Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills Ability to explain why an issue occurred, not just what failed Ability to distinguish between configuration issues, data issues, expected system behavior, and true defects Experience leveraging logs, system behavior, and available data to support findings Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-directed and able to work independently Ability to provide evidence-based findings and program-level analysis #J-18808-Ljbffr
