IT Specialist (Enterprise Data Architect) – Series 2210, Grade GS‑14. The position is filled via the Office of Personnel Management’s Direct Hire Authority and is open to all U.S. citizens. Veterans Preference and the "Rule of Many" do not apply under this authority. Overview Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise data architectures that support organizational data needs. The role requires collaboration with cross‑functional teams and leadership of data architecture projects. Duties Design and implement enterprise data architectures, integrating various data sources and platforms. Translate business requirements into effective data solutions and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Lead data architecture projects, provide guidance to technical staff, and promote best practices in data management and security. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams and data dictionaries. Continuously monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improvement. Requirements U.S. citizenship required. Selective Service registration for eligible males. Fingerprinting, background, and/or security investigation required; job offers contingent on results. One‑year probationary period may be required. No relocation expenses paid. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Qualifications Specialized experience at or equivalent to a GS‑13 level in an IT‑related field that includes the duties described above. Proficiency in designing and implementing enterprise data architectures, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, leading projects, documenting architectures, and staying current with emerging technologies. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Compensation Salaried at GS‑14 with an annual range of $143,913 – $187,093. Location Woodlawn, MD. Telework eligible; employees required to be on site 75% of duty time.
