Head Cashier

Overview Join Sprouts Farmers Market as a Head Cashier, leading a fast‑paced team while delivering an extraordinary customer service experience. This role involves supervising cashiers, ensuring high standards of service and store operations. Responsibilities Supervise and support a team of cashiers and courtesy clerks, ensuring excellent customer service through proactive register visits. Assist with customer assistance issues at the register. Assign store sweeps and monitor/maintain cash register supplies, cleanliness of restrooms and parking lots. Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention. Schedule and enforce meal and rest breaks per company policy and state regulations. Assist with hiring, training of new cashiers and disciplinary actions. Qualifications At least 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years recent cashiering experience with leadership training. Dependable, reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude and ability to represent Sprouts as a role model. Proficient with front‑end equipment: register, calculator, scanner. Strong communication skills, open to direction and constructive criticism. Capacity for repetitive tasks, multi‑tasking, prioritizing and staying organized. Physical ability to lift/carry products up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts with force up to 35 lbs. within specified distances. Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and accurate cash handling. Pay The pay range for this position is $16.20–$21.85 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
