Warehouse Team Lead (Weekend Shift)OH Elyria - Elyria, OH 44035OverviewLevel ExperiencedDescriptionThe Warehouse Team Lead manages and supports daily warehouse operations, including receiving, loading, and picking. This role ensures customer orders are processed accurately and on time, while also handling communication with other departments, vendors, and customers. The position is responsible for keeping shipping and receiving records up to date, resolving any issues that come up, and maintaining good customer relationships. It also involves organizing paperwork, entering data, and helping schedule freight to keep warehouse activities running smoothly and efficiently. Weekend Shift is Friday - Sunday 6:30 AM - 7:00 PMKey Responsibilities:Oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities in the warehouse; includes Receiving, Loading and Picking processes that are designated to specific team leadsCommunicate with various personnel, departments, vendors in order to resolve issues and coordinate activitiesEnsure shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed in a timely mannerCustomer Service: Process all orders in a timely and accurate mannerGenerate all related paperwork required for customer order, checking for special requestsCoordinate urgent shipping requests with operations, expediting orders as necessaryFollow up with other departments to ensure the service standards are being metProvide shipping and tracking information as requiredCustomer Interfacing Activities: Maintain a good relationship with customers via timely responses concerning receipts, shipments, inventory counts, etc.Report customer feedback to management, including any signs of customer dissatisfactionClerical/Data Entry: Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding fileAnswer phone calls and operate various office machines and computers proficientlyEnter and verify data regarding customer orders, billing, credits, shipments, receipts, physical inventories, and adjustments in a timely mannerInbound/Outbound Freight: In conjunction with management, schedule inbound and outbound freight to comply with warehouse operations and capacitiesDocumentation Ensure the accuracy of all receiving and shipping documentsGather and maintain all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activitiesAssist in resolving any discrepanciesCollect all documentation for inbound freight and route to the proper record-keeping unitComply with all work instructionsQualificationsEducation:High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree preferredExperience:Microsoft platform experience preferredMinimum of 12 months cumulative experience in a Warehouse/Distribution environment preferredMinimum of 12 months cumulative experience with Reach Truck and/or Tow Motor preferredExperience in RF Scan Guns and Warehouse Management Computer SoftwareSkills:The ability to work independently and as part of the teamExcellent communications, organizational, planning, documentation, reporting, and time management skillsExcellent AttendancePhysical Requirements:The ability to lift 50 lbsStand, bend, stretch, sit and reach continuously throughout the shiftTolerance for changing warehouse conditions due to weather (extreme heat or cold)
