Job Description

Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations within the facility. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective management of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and direct all nursing services.
Supervise and support nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluations.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
Manage staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Handle patient and family concerns professionally.
Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for the nursing department.
