Education

Candidates should hold an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with clinical training across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient testing. Alternatively, completion of a 50-week official U.S. military medical laboratory procedures course with experience as a Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) is acceptable.

Experience and Certifications

Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as an MLT through ASCP or NCA. Proven clinical training in specimen testing for diverse patient populations is essential.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment in various positions.
• Flexibility to work additional hours or shifts as needed, including under stressful conditions.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This role involves light lifting (up to 25 pounds), manual dexterity, and the ability to discern colors and speak clearly. The position may require contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials. Candidates must be able to manage multiple priorities, make independent decisions under pressure, and work effectively both independently and in team settings.
