The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hauling heavy equipment, strong driving skills, and attention to safety regulations.**Key Responsibilities:*** Safely operate and drive commercial vehicles.* Load, secure, and unload heavy equipment in compliance with safety regulations.* Ensure that all cargo is properly secured and transported in accordance with DOT regulations.* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.* Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status.* Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws.* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers.* Handle and transport hazardous materials safely and in compliance with regulations.* Operate tanker trucks when required.**Qualifications:*** Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A preferred. Will also accept Class B.* Minimum of 3 years of experience in hauling heavy equipment.* Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are preferred.* Clean driving record with no major violations.* Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.* Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment.* Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Good communication and interpersonal skills.**Working Conditions:*** Work is primarily performed on active construction job sites, including highways, roadways, and heavy civil infrastructure projects.* Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and dust.* Position requires walking, standing, climbing, bending, and lifting in a construction environment.* May require extended work hours, early mornings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays to meet project schedules.* Frequent interaction with heavy equipment, moving machinery, traffic, and construction hazards; strict adherence to safety protocols is required.* Travel between job sites may be required depending on project location.* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all job sites.*This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
