Weekend Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Respiratory Therapist (RT) Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience. 8 hours per shift may be up to 8 hours depending on caseload Saturday and Sunday shifts available Job Description Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress rehabilitation patients with a range of respiratory and non‑respiratory illnesses. Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, operates, checks, and assembles equipment. Performs a variety of bedside treatments. Conducts in‑services for nursing staff every quarter. Responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly documentation. Attends applicable interdisciplinary team meetings. Has experience with tracheotomy care. Has experience in a long‑term care setting. Follows facility procedures and protocols. Completes tracking, auditing, and caseload management. Performs related duties as required. Respiratory Intervention Oxygen therapy Oxygen weaning Respiratory muscle trainer Omniflow Aerosol therapy PEP therapy Incentive spirometry Chest physiotherapy Postural drainage Oro/naso‑pharyngeal suctioning Tracheobronchial suctioning and tracheostomy care Airway management/assessment Cardio‑pulmonary resuscitation Qualifications / Requirements Graduate of a COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
