Are you passionate about supporting high school students and helping them achieve academic success? We're seeking a dedicated Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to join a supportive educational team in Fairfield, California .

What You'll Do

• Provide specialized academic instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Support students in achieving academic, social, and behavioral goals

• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers

• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Qualifications

• Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential

• Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential preferred

• Experience working with students with special needs in a school setting preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to manage IEPs and educational planning

• Must meet all state and local certification requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
