Mammography Technologist

Job Summary:
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, including 3D and digital mammography, in an outpatient imaging environment. This role requires delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with stereotactic breast biopsies, and ensuring compliance with radiation safety and quality assurance standards. The technologist will maintain accurate documentation, educate patients, and follow all relevant health and safety protocols during a 13-week travel assignment.
Responsibilities:
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, including 3D and digital mammography, in an outpatient imaging environment. This role requires delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with stereotactic breast biopsies, and ensuring compliance with radiation safety and quality assurance standards. The technologist will maintain accurate documentation, educate patients, and follow all relevant health and safety protocols during a 13-week travel assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms using 3D and digital mammography techniques.
- Assist with stereotactic breast biopsy procedures.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety and quality assurance standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records.
- Educate and provide compassionate care to patients throughout procedures.
- Follow isolation precautions, universal precautions, and department protocols.
- Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Active California license.
- Previous travel assignment experience.
- ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certifications.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Must comply with radiation safety and quality assurance standards.
- Adherence to isolation and universal precautions is mandatory.
- Day shift schedule, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts from 08:00 AM to 05:30 PM.
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks.
