Current and unencumbered license in the state of practice. Must have chemo experience. Looking for following skills: Inpatient oncology Active Immunotherapy (Specific/Non-Specific) Recognize/manage side effects Administration of chemotherapy Body fluid handling post Chemotherapy Management/disposal cytotoxic spills Monitor chemotherapy Recognize/communicate abnormal lab values Accessing Ports Administration of coagulation factors Blood/Blood product administration Care and management of ports Central line blood draw Central Line/Implanted Line Care PICC line care Starting IVs Medications: antiemetic, corticosteroids, neupogen, hormonal therapy, acute tumor lysis syndrome (ATLS), anaphylaxis, extravasation injury, hemorrhage, sepsis, spinal cord compression, pain management, IV push narcotic agents, medication tolerance/dependence assessment, PCA pump management, transdermal patches Professional knowledge and skills: chest tube care and management, colostomy care and management, foley catheter insertion/management, isolation precautions, neutropenic precautions, phlebotomy skills, telemetry interpretation, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care/management, wound care, psychosocial care, advanced directives, hospice care, patient/family education and support, withholding/withdrawing treatment, radiation therapy, external radiation therapy (teletherapy), radiation safety precautions, total body irradiation (TBI), wound care, symptom management, alteration in skin and mucous membranes, altered mental status, constipation/diarrhea, dysphagia, edema, nausea/vomiting, neuropathy, surgery, post surgical care. At least one year of experience as oncology/med surg Registered Nurse. Background screening as required by the state or contract. Drug screening as required by the contract. The RN should be able to read medical equipment and documents. Pushing carts and medical equipment may be a component of the job. Registered Nurses must be able to lift at least 30 pounds; walk up and down the stairs; position patients; walk long distances; and stand for prolonged periods. CPR as required by client facility; health and screening tests as required by specific facilities and/or regulatory agencies. Representative Duties and Responsibilities Complies with ATC Healthcare Services policies and procedures. Provides general care services, including assessment, analysis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assess healthcare needs of patients through a variety of routine assessments, and develops, implements, and evaluates individualized nursing and health care plans accordingly. Perform health screenings of patients or clients. Respond to emergency healthcare needs of patients. Collect and record data specific to the health status of patients or clients. Administer medications/treatments as prescribed by medical practitioners. Responsibilities will vary depending on department of assignment (e.g. Emergency Room/Clinic, advisory to non‑medical administrator, infection control, nurse/health education development, quality assurance, nurse anesthetist, etc.). Maintains confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Complies with accepted ethical conduct and professional standards of nursing practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent nursing organization.
