HVAC Technician

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Includes a 1-hour lunch break and two paid 15-minute breaks. Occasional Saturday work may be required.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team working on modular homes and construction site units. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining wall-mounted HVAC systems, including diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues. Candidates should be comfortable working in a shop environment and assisting in other areas when HVAC work is slow.

Responsibilities

• Install wall-mounted HVAC units in modular homes using hand and power tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on returned HVAC units.
• Clean coils, replace filters, and inspect units for proper operation.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure correct installation and system functionality.
• Diagnose and resolve HVAC performance issues efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Assist Yard Technicians and other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with residential or commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience working with wall-mounted HVAC units preferred.
• EPA Certification required.
• Trade school graduates are encouraged to apply, provided they have hands-on experience working on HVAC equipment.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow installation and repair procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Work Environment

• Non-climate-controlled shop and outdoor work environment.
• Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools throughout the day.
• Steel-toed boots are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
