Maintenance TechnicianPosition Type: Full Time Job Shift: Any Education Level: High School Category: ManufacturingDescriptionJob Summary:Responsible for providing routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance for manufacturing equipment.Essential FunctionsAssists in the die cast machine lubrication processProvides equipment filter changesUnderstands the function of all die tooling micro switches on die cast tooling and be capable of checking these devices and wiring.Understands die cast machine cycles, operation and programming of auto ladles and reciprocatorsFurnace operation including fabrication of thermocouplesProvides building and grounds maintenanceProvides wastewater operation assistanceAny other duties assignedDrilling and tapping; basic machine shop workMechanical repairs including extracting broken boltsWelding and fabricationElectrical wiring, conduit installation and hardwiring trouble shootingHydraulic repairs on pumps, valves, cylinders. Knowledgeable of hydraulic hose, pipe tubing and fittings.Hydraulic system knowledge to include pre-charging and bleeding accumulators, relief valve settings and pressure switch settings.Properly set up die cast machine strain gagesSupport equipment maintenance and operation (pumps, air compressors), HVAC equipment maintenanceQualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:Good communication and organizational skills.Team player with good attendance historyAble to work without close supervision and ability to multi-task.Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.Minimum 1 -2 years' experience in one or more of the following categories: electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and weldingSafety Requirements:Wear all required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, head protection.Requirement to complete safety and work-related training: Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding, Fall Arrest, Forklift, LOTO – Authorized, Crane, Confined Space, Arc FlashComply with all established safety rules and policies.Report unsafe conditions, all accidents, and near misses immediately to Supervisor or Manager.
