Talent Bridge Critical Infrastructure Security Analyst

At Idaho National Laboratory, you'll serve as a cybersecurity and industrial control systems subject matter expert, translating complex threat analysis into policies, reports, and strategies that protect the nation's critical infrastructure. You'll work within the Control Systems Analysis Center, interface with DHS and government partners, deliver technical training, and lead agile security teams advancing Idaho National Laboratory's mission to keep the nation's essential systems secure. Critical Infrastructure Security Analyst Apply in depth technical and industry knowledge and experience to perform analyses on critical infrastructure Lead expert analysis and the creation of infrastructure reports, documents and products related to the United States and its Critical Infrastructure. Use open source, technical and collateral (classified) data sources, communications networks, physical processes, and related interdependencies. Provide onsite technical expertise in critical infrastructure security as well as coordinate interaction and information sharing with various stakeholders within the U.S. government, State government, Local government, private/public industries, academia, and research related to critical infrastructure security issues and events associated with all 16 critical infrastructure sectors. Perform evaluations of critical infrastructure security, vulnerabilities, consequence, and cascading impacts

Gather information and complete analysis of cyber threats to the United States and its critical infrastructure and technology-controlled processes. Perform as a cybersecurity and industrial control system (ICS) subject matter expert. Contribute to scientific and technical products such as patents, software, journal papers, reports, proceedings, and policies. Maintain knowledge of ICS and critical infrastructure security-related events and developments. Work with other DHS and INL staff in the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Control Systems Analysis Center (CSAC) and other designated locations, including ICS systems, computers, power, and communications networks. Interface with the ICS and critical infrastructure protection community to meet program requirements. Interface with customers to meet project requirements, including, but not limited to, defining scope, schedule, and budget estimates, delivering the project milestones on time and on budget, future research ideas and proposals, and general customer satisfaction requirements. Represent the organization as the prime contact on projects and work. May represent the program as an instructor in on-site and off-site cybersecurity training activities. May coordinate local and remote training sessions, student registrations, and venues. Provide leadership and mentoring to assigned members of small agile teams within the department. Advance strategic goals to generate and sustain a unique critical infrastructure analysis and regional resilience capability for the division.

Education, Credentials, and Work Experience: This position is a multi-level posting, open to candidates who are recent graduates at either the Bachelor’s or Master’s level: Bachelor’s Level To qualify, you must have completed your Computer Science or directly related engineering Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months from an ABET-accredited institution. Bachelor of Science in a technical field, degrees include Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Control Systems, MBA, Engineering, or a related field. Experience determined with the level which includes conducting domestic security analysis. Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-clearance with appropriate sigmas and SCI clearance with the ability and willingness to complete a polygraph and become a full-time member of the Field Intelligence Element. May be a Testing Designated Position.

Advanced degrees such as a Master of Business Administration or related field. Industrial Control Systems/SCADA/Process Control system design and experimentation, control system protocols, process control software, and data communications networks. Experience in the analysis of critical infrastructure with a control system focus. Education in computer science with Cybersecurity and/or ICS focus

Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our UB4 facility with every other Friday off. Level 1 ($83,964 - $90,948) / Level 2 ($100,188 - $108,528).
