Training and Engagement Specialist

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic Training and Engagement Specialist to help develop, engage, and support our talented staff. This role is ideal for an engaging, organized, and adaptable professional with financial institution experience who is passionate about training, employee development, and workplace culture. Position Summary The Training and Engagement Specialist develops, implements, and manages training and engagement programs that support the full employee life cycle, from onboarding through offboarding. This role partners with leadership to ensure employees are equipped, engaged, and positioned for long‑term success. Key Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs for new hires and existing employees, including systems such as Symitar and MeridianLink Support and enhance the new employee onboarding experience Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and skill gaps Stay current on policies, procedures, operating systems, and regulatory requirements Create and maintain training materials, job aids, guides, and e‑learning content Track trainee progress and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback Manage professional development plans and career pathing initiatives Plan and facilitate employee engagement activities and company‑wide events Coordinate employee recognition efforts, including birthdays and work anniversaries Manage training logistics, scheduling, communications, and follow‑up Maintain internal communication platforms, including the online photo directory Produce a monthly team member newsletter Coordinate with external vendors related to training, engagement, and events Assist with administrative tasks related to the employee life cycle Qualifications Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills Knowledge of training methodologies and employee engagement best practices Ability to motivate, influence, and train others Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive information Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of related experience Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams Experience in a credit union or financial services environment Why Join Champions First Credit Union Play a key role in employee development and engagement Work in a collaborative, people‑focused environment Support a growing organization committed to excellence and continuous improvement Dynamic growing environment Position Requirements Regular and dependable attendance. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Ability to motivate, influence, and train others. Experience in a credit union or financial services environment is a plus. Advanced skills with MS Office programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and Teams). Physical Requirements Frequently required to sit, stand, talk, and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. Ability to work a variety of hours to accommodate events. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive to branch locations across the Credit Union’s region.
