Position Summary Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the MRI Technologist prepares for and operates a MRI Scanner following specific physician orders. Produces detailed computer generated scans of patients for diagnostic and interventional information. Assists patients onto scanner after reviewing the MRI safety checklist, verifies patient identification prior to scan, selects patient from worklist, ensures exam is archived on the PACS and completed properly in the RIS. Maintains facilities in proper order and keeps abreast of all new MRI procedures. Shift Hours Four 10‑hr shifts 1pm‑11:30pm rotating schedule every 3rd weekend, 1 holiday and on‑call a must. Sign‑on bonus: $5,000. Responsibilities Operate MRI scanner and produce high‑quality images for diagnosis and interventional procedures. Perform patient screening, verify identification, and follow MRI safety checklist. Manage patient queue, select images from worklist, and archive studies in PACS and RIS. Maintain equipment and facilities in a clean, organized condition. Respond efficiently to emergencies and adapt to changing patient needs. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program with registration by the ARRT in MRI. Minimum two years of experience as an MRI technologist preferred. Existing employees must obtain advanced MRI certification within one year of employment. Valid state of New Jersey Department of Professional Regulation license. Skills ARRT (MR) and current CPR certification (American Heart Association). Physical dexterity to operate sensitive equipment and perform a variety of MRI exams. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and vascular systems. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to perform tasks accurately, manage time, and solve problems efficiently. Competence in working independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Location The Valley Hospital – Paramus, United States of America.
