Chief Growth Officer (Cleveland)

Overview

The Chief Growth Officer is a senior executive who leads McGregor’s organization-wide growth strategy across sales, marketing, brand visibility, business development, and social media. This role develops and executes an integrated growth plan to expand awareness, strengthen referral and customer pipelines, increase revenue opportunities, and maintain consistent messaging across the organization. The Chief Growth Officer provides strategic and operational leadership for sales, marketing, communications, outreach, referral development, and other growth initiatives across all McGregor programs, services, and locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an integrated growth strategy that aligns sales, marketing, social media, outreach, and communications with McGregor’s mission, strategic priorities, and financial goals.
• Identify and pursue new growth opportunities, including referral partnerships, community relationships, service-line expansion, market positioning, and audience development.
• Establish measurable goals for lead generation, referrals, admissions or conversions, brand awareness, engagement, and revenue contribution.
• Use market trends, customer insights, competitive analysis, and performance data to guide growth priorities and resource allocation.
• Partner with executive leadership to ensure growth initiatives support the organization’s long-term sustainability and reputation.

Sales and Business Development

• Lead organization-wide sales strategy, pipeline management, referral development, and business development activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, community partners, healthcare providers, civic organizations, and other strategic stakeholders.
• Develop sales processes, tools, reporting standards, and accountability systems that support consistent follow-up and measurable results.
• Monitor sales performance and adjust tactics to improve conversion, retention, and growth outcomes.

Marketing, Brand and Communications

• Oversee McGregor’s brand strategy, marketing campaigns, messaging, collateral, digital presence, public-facing communications, and promotional initiatives.
• Ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging across all programs, service lines, audiences, and channels.
• Lead the development of annual marketing plans that support organizational priorities, community awareness, recruitment, referral growth, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with internal leaders to translate program goals into clear marketing and communications strategies.
• Evaluate marketing performance and use data to improve campaign effectiveness, audience reach, and return on investment.

Social Media and Digital Engagement

• Set the strategy for McGregor’s social media presence across relevant platforms, ensuring content is timely, engaging, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s voice.
• Oversee content planning, storytelling, digital campaigns, audience engagement, social listening, and reputation monitoring.
• Use social media analytics to measure reach, engagement, conversion, and community sentiment.
• Identify opportunities to amplify success stories, events, partnerships, thought leadership, and mission impact.
• Coordinate with program leaders and external partners to ensure social media content reflects the full breadth of McGregor’s work.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and develop staff and partners involved in sales, marketing, communications, outreach, and social media.
• Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, creativity, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with executive leadership, operations, clinical or program leaders, philanthropy, human resources, finance, and other departments to align growth activities with organizational needs.
• Manage external agencies, consultants, vendors, and creative partners as needed.
• Prepare reports and presentations for leadership that communicate progress, risks, opportunities, and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or related field required; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in sales, marketing, business development, communications, or growth strategy.
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence across departments, manage budgets, and deliver measurable results.
• Success in revenue growth, referral development, brand strategy, digital marketing, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in healthcare, senior living, human services, community-based, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
