Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is seeking a travel Sonographer with OB/GYN certification and at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment in Arizona.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital ultrasound department with 3 scanner rooms,
• Performs all general ultrasound exams, paracentesis/thoracentesis biopsies, and vascular exams,
• Average of 8-16 scans/studies per day,
• Uses Philips EPIQ ultrasound equipment and Cerner EMR,
• Evening shift schedule: Sunday 4:00 PM-midnight, Monday/Tuesday 2:00 PM-midnight, Wednesday 4:00 PM-midnight (36 hours/week),
• Mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts,
• Call requirement of one day per week and one weekend per month,
• Holiday rotation required,
• May be required to float to other areas on a non-standard basis,
• Radiologist is in-house,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of sonography experience,
• Active BLS certification required,
• RDMS certification required,
• RDMS-OB/GYN certification required,
• RVT (Vascular Technology) certification preferred,
• Cerner EMR experience required,
• Experience with vascular exams preferred,
• Active state license required if applicable - pending licenses will not be accepted,
• A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration,
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates, as determined by the address on their driver's license,
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered,
• Scrubs are not provided by the facility,
• Department-specific orientation is provided (12 hours)
