Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a dynamic healthcare environment with patient care responsibilities that include monitoring and managing patients with complex diagnoses, particularly in the area of oncology. The role involves rotating day and night shifts with a schedule of 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, specifically those with active oncology diagnoses or related conditions.
• Perform cardiac monitoring and demonstrate strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
• Administer IV insulin protocols and manage insulin drips as part of patient care.
• Float within designated units as required.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of nursing experience, with the requirement for managers to review profiles for candidates with limited experience.
• Previous telemetry experience is essential.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Availability to work every other weekend, including Friday and Saturday shifts.

Unit Details

The role is situated in a specialized unit catered to the healthcare needs of incarcerated individuals, which includes a locked unit requiring regulated access.
