Description of Responsibilities Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound exams, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging. Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly articulating each step with kindness and professionalism. Collaborate seamlessly with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the delivery of top-notch diagnostic images. Handle and maintain imaging equipment diligently while promptly addressing any malfunctions. Document procedures accurately and uphold patient records within the electronic medical system. Stay informed on the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging practices and techniques. Education Requirements A degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related field, either at the Associate or Bachelor level. Preferably, completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program. Certifications Required Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or its equivalent. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred. Skills Needed Proficient technical skills in sonographic imaging procedures and patient positioning.
