Travel RN – Medical Surgical (7P–7A)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage a patient ratio of up to 6:1 or 7:1 across a 22-bed unit
• Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Perform and assist with common procedures including surgical care, PD exchanges, and psychiatric support
• Float as a second nurse to Telemetry and the Emergency Department as needed
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard scheduling requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical experience
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Current BLS certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (required)
• Ability to float to Telemetry and ED as a second nurse
• Flexibility to be scheduled according to unit needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Background in telemetry monitoring within a Med Surg setting
• Familiarity with geriatric and adult patient populations
