Bring your big ideas knowing you are safe to be who you are and speak up with concerns or questions and put your diverse talents and perspectives to use.The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Work with multi-discipline teams to develop design materials for project assignments for heavy civil works projects such as generation, power infrastructure (transmission, distribution, substations), solar, wind, dams, buried infrastructure, tunnels, etc. Perform analysis, design calculations, design sketches, and preparing geotechnical design reports to meet project requirements Perform, coordinate, and manage geotechnical field investigations Coordinate, manage, observe, and document geotechnical construction activities such as grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, retaining walls, etc.The Team As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our 3 market sectors- Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. The foundation of BV Operations provides the ability to move where your skills are needed and allows for a collaborative and innovative culture offering greater challenges and career development opportunities.Key Responsibilities Focuses on the coordinating internal teams and resources while working to understand client's interest and needs Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details for projects such as power generation facilities, substations, transmission lines, solar sites, dams, canals, flood control projects, municipal water, wastewater, and pipelines Planning, designing, and overseeing geotechnical aspects for projects both in the office and in the field. Be able to travel on field assignments as required. Field time is estimated at 20 and 40%.Preferred Qualifications Experience with geotechnical investigations, grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, and retaining walls Prefer Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with Emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering Active Engineering-In-Training (EIT) PreferredMinimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 1 year related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Certifications Active Engineering-In-Training (EIT) LicenseWork Environment/Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
