Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based at Skar Audio’s headquarters in Tampa, FL. This role oversees all accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and month-end and year-end close processes. The Financial Controller prepares and reviews financial statements, manages financial reporting, and ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and providing analytical insights to support strategic decisions and operational efficiency. The Financial Controller collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen internal controls, optimize financial processes, and support continued growth.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to manage core accounting functions and provide financial guidance.
  • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to support management and compliance needs.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend actions that improve performance and control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior accounting/finance role within a growing or mid-sized company.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel skills for modeling, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site and partner with operations, leadership, and external stakeholders.
