Process Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to support the design, optimization, and operation of wastewater treatment systems in the Tampa area. This role will focus on improving treatment performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting both new facility design and upgrades to existing infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in biological and chemical treatment processes and thrives in a collaborative, project-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Design and optimize wastewater treatment processes, including biological, chemical, and physical treatment systems Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), mass balances, and technical specifications Support pilot studies, process modeling, and data analysis to improve plant performance Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, controls) on design and implementation Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements for efficiency, capacity, and compliance Support startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of treatment systems Ensure compliance with Florida environmental regulations and permitting requirements Assist in preparing technical reports, proposals, and client presentations Work closely with operators and maintenance teams to implement process improvements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field 3–8 years of experience in wastewater or water treatment process engineering Strong understanding of biological treatment processes (activated sludge, MBR, etc.) and chemical treatment methods Experience with process modeling tools and data analysis Ability to develop and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, and technical documentation Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and standards #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
