The Brand Specialist will promote the full Barry Callebaut product portfolio by regularly calling on hotels, resorts, catering, bakeries, chains and all hospitality end users. These include chefs, bakers, and confectioners, both existing customers and prospects, and will introduce and demonstrate products to operators and distributors to ensure customers are familiar with the range available and how those products can support their specific culinary applications. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships within the culinary community, providing technical assistance to customers and prospects, supporting Gourmet Sales Managers in the Southern Region, and planning and executing events, trade shows and other culinary activities. The representative will identify and engage with organizations, associations and companies in the local culinary ecosystem, use social media to build following among chefs, and collaborate with local culinary schools to increase brand awareness. Job Responsibilities Promote the product range (all brands) by calling on chefs, bakers, and confectioners – current customers and prospects – to familiarize them with applications. Target hospitality customers across multiple states in the Southern U.S. Region. Seek business opportunities within the end‑user base in support of Southern Region Sales Managers across key cities. Provide technical assistance to customers and prospects, strengthening relationships and delivering value‑added service. Support distributors and their sales reps, driving business and closing sales in partnership with distributors. Plan and facilitate events and trade shows in major city markets for distributors, vendors and end users in collaboration with regional Sales Managers. Support development and implementation of market strategies within the assigned region, building a loyal chef community and converting businesses to Barry Callebaut brands. Plan city events (dinners, demos, shows, etc.) with Sales Managers, Chefs and Marketing team, engaging end users to develop lasting relationships. Enter database relationships and sales opportunities in Salesforce. Identify organizations and companies to increase brand awareness. Manage social media, promoting market activities, brand awareness and relationship building. Collaborate with local culinary schools and students to promote awareness of Barry Callebaut products. Scope The role covers multiple states throughout the Southern U.S. Region including Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C. The role reports to the Southern U.S. Gourmet Director and has a dotted line to support and work with the three Gourmet Sales Managers in the area. Travel requirements: up to 70% of time spent visiting key cities throughout the Southern Region, working closely with the Regional Director to develop a rotational calendar. About You Culinary background strongly preferred – chef training with focus on chocolate, confectionery, pastry or desserts. Sales experience calling on chefs and working with or supporting distributors preferred (minimum 2 years). Experience with trade shows, product presentations and social media preferred (minimum 2 years).
