System Development Engineer II, Manufacturing Systems Engineering

You will be working to establish a departmental IT team from the ground up, acquiring and managing commercial-off-the-shelf CAD/simulation/product software necessary for IRG growth.- Architect, build, and administer commercial-off-the-shelf software applications consistent with Amazon's standards, security policies, and industry best practices.- Implement monitoring and application integrations using AWS tooling.- Establish and maintain identity management (AAA) using Amazon standard tooling (Federate, idPrism, Authguard).- Ensure high availability and business continuity for managed applications.- Assist with technical aspects of software vendor relationships and contract negotiations.- Participate in a team oncall rotation.Basic qualifications- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust- Experience with Linux/Unix- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processesPreferred qualification - Experience with distributed systems at scaleAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
