Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

• Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.

• Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.

• Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.

• Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.

• Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.

• Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments

We have modernize?d our maternity services, including labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and our 24-bed Level III NICU? to create spacious, nurturing environments for the 2,400 deliveries and 500 NICU admissions we handle each year?.

• 28 private postpartum rooms-to provide an enhanced level of patient comfort

• 24 private NICU rooms-offering families more space to bond with their newest arrival

• 3 surgery suites-with state-of-the-art equipment and technology

• Pregnancy care center-with private triage, antepartum, and birthing rooms

• Children's play area-to soothe anxious families in the waiting room

• Private spaces-to meet and consult with families

Job Requirements

Required

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California

• 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience

• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

• Fire Safety, within 90 Days of hire

Preferred

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing

• 1 to 3 years of acute care experience
