Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience managing patient assessments, treatment plans, and medical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in providing exceptional patient care and service.
• Perform patient examinations, medical histories, and physical assessments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
• Order and review diagnostic tests and collaborate with physicians on treatment plans.
• Administer treatments as directed by the physician.
• Complete medical orders, documentation, and billing charges accurately and promptly.
• Educate and counsel patients regarding ongoing care, treatment options, and medical conditions.
• Maintain efficient workflows and adhere to scheduled clinic hours.
• Collaborate professionally with physicians, staff, and other healthcare providers.
  

Qualifications

• Advanced practice nursing degree for Nurse Practitioners or an accredited Physician Assistant degree.
• Current, applicable Texas professional license.
• Current DEA registration.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
  

Work Schedule and Environment

• Clinics typically operate Monday through Friday.
• Working hours may vary based on clinic needs.
• Clinical environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and medical equipment.
• Appropriate personal protective equipment will be provided when necessary.
  

Compensation

Salary is open to discussion based on qualifications and experience.
