Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Clinic RN for Radiation Oncology with active Colorado RN license and 2+ years of Radiation Oncology nursing experience.

Job Details

• Clinic setting within a Radiation Oncology department,
• Working 4-10's schedule, weekdays only,
• 36 guaranteed hours, which does not apply on holidays for clinic workers,

Job Requirements

• Active Colorado RN license in good standing (license required if applicable),
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association,
• Minimum 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience specifically (Medical Oncology experience does not qualify),
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinic environment,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration,
• Knowledge of chronic illness and comorbidity management,
• Current knowledge of hematology/oncology and internal medicine trends, protocols, and evidence-based practices,
• Proof of flu vaccination required with no exemptions,

Additional Information

• Function in a collaborative role with the Radiation Oncology Team to provide continuity and quality patient care,
• Assess and provide nursing interventions for issues related to disease process, treatment, and follow-up,
• Provide teaching, counseling, and support to help patients and families cope with cancer diagnosis and treatment,
• Assist Radiation Oncologist in patient evaluation and examination,
• Serve as liaison between Radiation Oncology and other hospital departments, physician offices, and support groups,
• Provide referrals for rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services as needed,
