Fauquier Health has 5 Main Operating rooms plus a Cystoscopy Suite. Fauquier Health is paving the way in advanced surgical procedures by offering minimally invasive robotic surgery with our state-of-the-art daVinci Xi, Depuy Velys Total Joint, and Globus robotic platforms.

An Assistant Director who excels in this role:

• Supervises daily staff activities for the Surgical Services Department
• Supports our charge nurses who are supervising staffing assignments and daily department workflows
• Assists the director in coordinating new service line needs, onboarding surgeons and staff, and reviewing and improving surgical services metrics
• Serves in a management position, leading the teams and supporting surgeon needs, staff concerns and assisting with education
• Responsible for leading improvements in surgical outcomes, based on evidence-based practice, AORN and ASPAN guidelines
• Works with staff and other departments to improve key performance indicators.
• Collaborates with all other departments that support surgical services for process improvement opportunities

Applicants should have a current Virginia state or compact state RN license.

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 7 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS are required within 30 days of hire
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
• Must have previous OR/Surgical Experience
• Leadership and clinical experience is required

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit, and much, much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

Salary Range: $104,000-$145,600
