Senior Accountant

The mailroom clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing mail, internal and external to the organization. Some of the responsibilities and duties of this position include opening, reading, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and packages, collecting, and processing outgoing mail, data entry of information concerning receipt of courier shipments and Certification Statements.

• Sort incoming correspondence, including insurance claim forms and returned mail, in a timely manner.
• Prep claims to be scanned by Scanning unit.
• Inscribe date of receipt for incoming mail.
• Handle daily incoming and outgoing packaging of FedEx, UPS, and local carrier shipments.
• Weigh and meter outgoing First-Class mail.
• Pick up and drop off mail at the McKinney U.S. Post Office three times per day using the company van.
• Collect and distribute mail to all departments within the organization.
• Occasionally assist with other team member processing areas as directed by management.

Required Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• At least 1 year of experience in a mailroom setting and a production type environment preferred.
