The Retail Store Manager oversees the daily operations of a medium-sized retail store team, typically consisting of 6 to 15 employees. Reporting to the District Manager, this role is critical in driving sales, maintaining inventory standards, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The manager leads team management and training initiatives, evaluates staff performance, and handles conflict resolution to promote a positive work environment. Occasional local travel is required for meetings or training sessions.

 

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a retail team of 6-15 employees
• Track sales performance to meet and exceed targets
• Control inventory to prevent loss and maintain stock levels
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly
• Train staff on retail operations and customer interaction
• Implement effective visual merchandising strategies
• Develop staff schedules and manage daily operations
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback
• Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive working environment
• Implement loss prevention measures to safeguard assets

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail management experience
