Investment Banking Analyst - Real Estate (class of 2027)

Job Description

Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking highly motivated, analytical, and entrepreneurial candidates to join our Investment Banking Analyst Program, Class of 2027, within the Real Estate Investment Banking Group. Analysts play a critical role in the execution of strategic advisory and capital markets transactions for public and private real estate companies, REITs, real estate private equity sponsors, and institutional investors.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside senior bankers on mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt capital raises, strategic advisory assignments, and other complex transactions across a broad range of real estate sectors.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A, strategic advisory, and capital markets transactions.
\n
• Develop detailed financial models, including valuation analyses, mergers models, DCFs, NAV analyses, and leveraged buyout models.
\n
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, confidential information memoranda, and marketing materials.
\n
• Conduct industry, company, and market research across real estate sectors including office, industrial, multifamily, retail, hospitality, data centers, and alternative assets.
\n
• Perform financial statement analysis and due diligence.
\n
• Assist in transaction execution, including coordination with clients, legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors.
\n
• Monitor real estate capital markets, industry trends, and comparable transactions.
\n
• Participate in client meetings and internal deal team discussions.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
\n
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
\n
• Strong academic record with demonstrated analytical capabilities.
\n
• Prior internship experience in investment banking, real estate finance, corporate finance, valuation, consulting, or related fields preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
\n
• Strong quantitative, financial modeling, and valuation skills.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines.
\n
• High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
