Network Engineer – TS/SCI Required at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) Responsibilities Design, plan and build communications networks. Configure routers, switches, firewalls and VPN concentrators for LAN, WAN, and data communication systems. Coordinate LAN/WAN hardware and software improvements and enhancements. Monitor network performance utilizing industry leading technologies. Provide innovative technical solutions and maintain compliance with company and customer quality standards. Analyze customer requirements and deliver solutions for complex problems. Maintain and upgrade networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls and remote access systems. Ensure network integrity, connectivity, policy compliance, and backup/recovery capability. Coordinate acquisition of hardware, software and subcontractor services. Build hardware and software components for computer and telecommunications networks. Lead and mentor less experienced network personnel. Required Qualifications Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance. 5+ years of experience in network administration. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. IAT Level II certification. Networking certification: Brocade, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIP), Aruba. Willingness to obtain an Aruba certification within 90 days if not already held. Hands‑on experience with Aruba networking systems. Proven experience in routing protocols and L3 configurations. U.S. citizenship required. Desired Qualifications Aruba certifications: ACSA and/or ACSP. Location & Work Requirements Full‑time onsite at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. Travel required less than 10%.
