Job Summary:

Liberty Tire Recycling is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic. As a maintenance mechanic, you would be responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs to the company recycling production equipment and/or other equipment as deem necessary. Duties may range from minor safety or lighting repairs to rebuilding a trailer. Your expertise will ensure the efficiency and safety of our operations, contributing to our commitment to high standards and effective recycling processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on recycling equipment, conveyors, shredders, and other machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and implement solutions.
• Must be able to follow and adhere to all applicable OSHA and environmental compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
• Must be able to utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine issues.
• Complete and submit proper documentation related to the status and time spent on machine issues and repairs.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery.
• Collaborate with the operations team to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.

Skills and Abilities:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience performing mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing /industrial environment is required.
• Must be familiar with LOTO.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components, including welding equipment and electrical work.
• Understanding of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations and implementation of safety regulations.
• Ability to stand and move around for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs., and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
• Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Education and Experience:

• Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.
