Job Overview Responsibilities Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Serve as a professional leader and support to the healthcare team. Apply Patient‑Centered Care concepts to guide all nursing activities. Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times. Recognize signs of stroke, call a stroke alert, document the alert process, perform NIHSS, assist with swallow screening, and support telemedicine consults. Assist with administration of thrombolytic therapy and preparation for endovascular treatment as indicated. Maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing NIHSS training and at least 8 hrs of stroke‑related training annually. Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting. BLS (current upon hire) ACLS, PALS, and/or required specialty training or course completion within three months of employment. Current Florida nursing license. Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
