Tax Accountant I

To support multi-state payroll tax compliance, the full-time remote Tax Accountant I will manage tax withholdings, filings, and reporting while collaborating with internal teams and tax agencies to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities Administer multi-state payroll tax compliance and ensure accurate tax filings with federal, state, and local agencies Calculate and validate tax files, manage responses to tax notices, and prepare year-end reporting Collaborate with finance staff on financial reconciliations and participate in audits as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience required 1+ years of experience in tax and financial administration Experience with automated financial operations center projects Working knowledge of accounting principles Strong project management skills
