Our Mechanics safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely, so our Drivers can continue to keep local neighborhoods clean and safe, by courteously and efficiently providing waste removal and environmental services to customers. Diesel Mechanic – Up to $30/Hour Shift: Monday – Friday, 1:30 PM – Midnight Schedule: 5x10s 50hours/week OT weekly and year-round | Only 1 Saturday/Month Required Location: Jacksonville NC Site Pay: Up to $30.00/hour (based on experience) What’s In It For You Great Pay & Great Hours: Earn up to $30/hr working a consistent 5x10 afternoon schedule. 15 Days PTO: Paid time off starting right from day one upon hire. The Job Diagnose & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix heavy-duty diesel trucks, CNG, gas, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. Maintenance & Overhauls: Perform scheduled maintenance, rebuilds, and major repairs. Work Order Management: Track repairs, order required parts, and schedule jobs using our M5 system. Safety First: Maintain safe working conditions, comply with safety regulations, and utilize standard power and hand tools. What We’re Looking For Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic. Education: High school diploma or GED (technical diploma or trade school preferred). Skills: Proficient with diagnostic software/tools and comfortable learning new software systems. Tools: Must possess and maintain your own set of tools required for heavy equipment maintenance. Mindset: Reliable, independent problem solver who follows safety procedures and federal/state/local regulations. Physical Capability: Ability to safely operate equipment and perform all physical aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance.
