Such program shall be accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association's Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, or its successorMust be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as an occupational therapist in the state of FloridaPrior experience in Occupational TherapyMember of state and national American Occupational Therapy AssociationProfessional attitude and appearanceProficient administrative and public relations skillsThorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in occupational therapyThorough knowledge of the possible hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measuresAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and to obtain their cooperation in the treatment prescribedAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with the medical staff and other personnelAbility to understand, interpret, and adopt a physician's written or oral directions and to recommend treatment programs and outline expected benefits regarding occupational therapyDemonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with the demands of both patients and employeesMust maintain patient and employee confidentialityKnowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement, preferred
