Computed Tomography Technologist

Become a vital part of a hospital team in Smyrna, GA as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately interpret physicians' scanning instructions, administer contrast media, and operate CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic studies. You will verify orders, obtain clinical history, ensure patient identification and safety, and handle pre- and post-procedural care following departmental and hospital policies. You must demonstrate competency with venipuncture, power injectors, radiation dose optimization, PACS/RIS workflows, and routine equipment maintenance. You will assist colleagues across modalities and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (JRCERT or equivalent).
• ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) certification required.
• ARRT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology required.
• Experience operating CT consoles and pushing/retrieving images to PACS.
• Demonstrated competency with venipuncture and power injection systems.
• Ability to adjust technique for lowest reasonable radiation dose while maintaining image quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous CT-specific experience is preferred.
• Experience in a hospital radiology environment preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 08:0019:00.
• Schedule includes weekend shifts: Saturday and Sunday 08:3019:00.
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs and able to take call when necessary.
