Real Estate Finance Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to join a leading Am Law firm with a nationally recognized real estate practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 2–5 years of commercial real estate finance experience who is looking to work on sophisticated, high-value financing transactions involving a wide range of asset classes while collaborating with an experienced and highly regarded team.ResponsibilitiesRepresent institutional lenders in complex commercial real estate financing transactions.Manage financing matters from initial structuring through closing.Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related financing agreements.Analyze title, survey, zoning, and other due diligence materials.Coordinate transactions with clients, opposing counsel, borrowers, and other stakeholders.Advise clients on a variety of commercial real estate financing structures and transactions.Work on construction loans, syndicated and securitized financings, mezzanine loans, intercreditor agreements, and co-lender arrangements.Assist with loan modifications, restructurings, and workout matters as needed.Utilize AI-powered legal technology and natural language platforms to enhance legal research, drafting, and workflow efficiency.QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.Active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction or eligibility to obtain admission.2–5 years of commercial real estate finance experience, preferably representing institutional lenders.Experience managing sophisticated financing transactions from inception through closing.Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial loan documentation.Familiarity with complex financing structures, including construction, syndicated, securitized, and mezzanine loans, is preferred.Experience with loan restructurings or workouts is a plus.Experience utilizing AI platforms and natural language technologies in legal practice.Excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Prior experience at a large regional, national, or international law firm is preferred.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary ranging from $235,000–$365,000, based on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and additional firm-sponsored benefits.Opportunity to work alongside nationally recognized real estate finance attorneys on sophisticated, market-leading transactions.Collaborative environment with significant opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and long-term career growth.
