Position Summary:

We are seeking a Crane Service Technician Level 2 to join our team. This position is ideal for experienced technicians with strong mechanical and electrical skills who are ready to take on more complex service tasks. The Crane Service Technician Level 2 will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations on overhead cranes and hoists, including advanced troubleshooting and customer communication.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Generate sales leads during service calls.
• Accurately and neatly document the work performed on the service report.
• Perform new crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, as well as the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3-phase motor control systems.
• Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments, as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proven commitment to safety.
• Comfort with working at heights.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Preferred: Experience in Variable Frequency Drives and PLC programming.
• Preferred: Crane maintenance experience.

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
• Preferred: A.A. degree or equivalent vocational training or experience.

Work Environment:

Full Time, 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday. On call or overtime possible. Work is performed on-site at customer facilities; travel may be required, and a work vehicle is provided.
