We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for an accounting specialist who can manage complex financial activities, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support a disciplined close process. The successful candidate will work across departments to improve controls, resolve accounting issues, and help deliver reliable financial results.

Responsibilities:

• Direct key accounting assignments and project-based initiatives that support timely reporting, dependable reconciliations, and a well-controlled financial environment.

• Prepare and assess journal entries, account analyses, financial reports, and supporting documentation to maintain accuracy and alignment with accounting standards and internal policies.

• Investigate complex accounting and reporting matters, determine underlying causes, and recommend practical solutions that support both immediate needs and long-term effectiveness.

• Develop and refine accounting procedures, process documentation, and internal control activities to improve consistency, reduce exposure to risk, and support audit preparedness.

• Collaborate with partners across finance, operations, technology, external audit, and vendor teams to coordinate deliverables, address issues, and keep priorities moving forward.

• Present accounting observations, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, auditors, and leadership teams.

• Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to team members to reinforce sound accounting practices and strengthen overall team performance.

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close by completing reconciliations, reviewing variances, resolving open items, and assembling quality support materials.

• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve the quality and efficiency of financial outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience with responsibility for complex reconciliations, reporting, controls, or process improvement work.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects or workstreams and coordinate deliverables across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger activity, month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience working in corporate accounting, public accounting, insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment is preferred.
• CPA designation, progress toward CPA, or a comparable accounting credential is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with NetSuite and a consistent focus on accuracy, organization, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
