Chemical Packager, Drypack - 2nd Shift

Work Schedule Second Shift (Afternoons) Environmental Conditions Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards. Fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold), loud noises from equipment/machinery, and some PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.). Standing for full shift, various outside weather conditions, and work with hazardous/toxic materials. Location Fairlawn, NJ Compensation $22.25 per hour, shift differential $0.50 per hour. Job Description The Chemical Packager is a unionized position responsible for weighing, filling, labeling, sealing, and other packaging operations as well as general warehouse duties related to packaging materials, such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping materials in order. A Day in the Life Weighing, filling, labeling, sealing, and other packaging operations for various bottle sizes. General warehouse duties such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping packaging materials in order. Transport bulk material, bottles, caps, and supplies to the filling location. Complete necessary information for record‑keeping. Set up scale, verify bottle size, and set up containers to be filled. Work safely and produce quality products. Scheduled Training Training for the role may include first shift work for a limited time. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience Preferred: work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related field. Preferred: experience in a cGMP environment. Forklift operator experience is helpful; ability to operate powered industrial trucks is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read and write in English. Commitment to working in a safe and efficient manner. Capability to operate powered industrial trucks; forklift operator experience helpful. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Candidate must be comfortable working with hazardous and non‑hazardous materials and able to work alternately in a seated or standing position.
