Food Safety Quality Technician

Product Testing ResponsibilitiesUndertake the required qualitative testing of product, completing all the required documentation in an accurate and legible way. Work within a team environment which includes shift work and job rotation. Complete all activities required to assure that all products are manufactured to meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and consistency.Responsibilities:Undertake morning calibration tests and ensuring that test equipment is ready for the day's productionPerform the required grading of finished product against a set of customer specificationsEnsure that all the required documentation is completed in a timely fashion and that it is accurate and legibleConduct pre-operation sanitation inspections including microbiological and ph testingComplete test results to standard and take action in out-of-specification situationsFollow and enforce Good Lab Practices (GLP's)Maintain adequate stock of lab suppliesMaintain work area in a clean, neat, orderly mannerInform Supervisors and Management when out-of-specification situations occurQualifications:Must have excellent attendance and great communication skillsMust be able to work in temperatures less than 40 degrees fahrenheitEnvironmental Working Conditions:Hazards include but are not limited to cuts from broken glass, slips, trips, falls, cuts, burns and strains.Will be exposed to extreme cold, 38 degrees or below.Depending on season may be exposed to variable temperatures including extreme hot and cold.Noise level may be moderate to high during busy times.It is PFI's policy to provide equal employment opportunities to all employees.
