As a Category Supplier Management Intern, you will support category management and strategic sourcing initiatives that drive business value across Micron's global procurement organization. You will gain hands-on experience in cost analysis, supplier management, category strategy development, sourcing activities, and AI-enabled process improvements while partnering with procurement professionals and business partners worldwide. Responsibilities * Support category management and strategic sourcing activities through market research, supplier analysis, benchmarking, and category strategy development.* Assist with cost analysis, should-cost modeling, and market intelligence activities to identify savings opportunities and support business decisions.* Collaborate with Category Managers, suppliers, and internal partners to support procurement objectives and supplier relationship management efforts.* Analyze sourcing trends, supplier performance, and procurement metrics to develop recommendations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.* Support AI adoption initiatives by identifying use cases, developing training resources, tracking adoption metrics, and promoting responsible use of AI-enabled solutions. Minimum Qualifications * 0-2 years of relevant experience through internships, co-ops, research projects, academic projects, leadership activities, or professional experience in procurement, supply chain, business, analytics, engineering, or related fields.* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.* Expected graduation date after August 2027.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations.* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business productivity tools.* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.* Demonstrated interest in AI-enabled tools and technologies, including generative AI and large language models (LLMs) such as Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms. Preferred Qualifications * Previous internship, research, or project experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, operations, business analytics, or project management.* Experience analyzing data using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools.* Knowledge of procurement, category management, supplier management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain concepts.* Experience applying AI tools, automation, or data-driven technologies to improve business processes and workflows.* Demonstrated leadership through student organizations, project teams, community involvement, or work experience.* Strong interest in procurement transformation, supplier strategy, digital innovation, and continuous improvement.As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
