Facilities Technician I

Facilities Technician IThis position will be responsible for assisting SVM Facility Services with mail room management, key log system management, delivery of SVM mail and packages, general housekeeping of common spaces, locker assignment and tracking, and maintenance building walk throughs.Key job responsibilities include utilizing basic equipment to repair and maintain basic machinery, equipment, and facility property under close supervision to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation. Assists with routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness. Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed. Escalates and documents issues according to established policies and procedures. General maintenance and monitoring of copy equipment. Ensure all machines have paper, toner, staples, etc. Onboard and offboard students and faculty in machines and assign codes to users. Sets up and tears down equipment for institutional meetings and events. Receives and distributes daily mail, monitors and maintains faculty and staff mailboxes. Assists with inventory and distribution of deliveries to appropriate entities under close supervision. Manages key distribution and cataloging system. Coordinates and follows up with faculty and staff to pick up and drop off keys. Maintains records of locker assignments, locks and key boxes. Prepares lockers for incoming students and cleans out lockers at the end of each year.Minimum compensation is $36,421 annually. Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.Required qualifications include 2 years of related experience and experience and comfort with using Microsoft programs (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook email and calendaring). Education: High School Diploma - minimum.
